Frequently Asked Questions
Membership
Do I have to live in the Genesee Valley region to become a member?
No! Many other local speech language and hearing associations are closing, GVSLHA welcomes any upstate NY SLP/AuD.
How do I know if I am a member or not?
You can reach out to [email protected] to confirm your membership. Membership follows calendar years, so if you attended an event in April and purchased a membership with your ticket, your membership will be active for the remainder of that calendar year, not through the following April.
CEUs
I just attended an event, how will I get my CEUs or certification of attendance?
To receive CEUs, attendees must attend the entire training, with their zoom camera on, per ASHA remote training guidelines. Following the training event, attendees must complete the Participant Form and the Learning Assessment found on the eventbrite page for that specific training. You should have received a link to that page upon registration. Attendees will receive their certification of attendance via email from [email protected]. GVSLHA will share attendance with ASHA, CEUs earned can be viewed on your ASHA account CEU transcript.
